Stephen I. Barsky , D.D.S.

Dr. Barsky received his undergraduate degree at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. Dr. Barsky practiced pharmacy for five years in Virginia, including one year as Chief Pharmacist at the National Orthopedic & Rehabilitation Center.

Upon graduation from dental school in 1978, Dr. Barsky was clinical instructor in Restorative Dentistry, and Oral Surgery at the Royal College in Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Barsky has been in private practice more than 25 years.

Dr. Barsky presently has served on the Washington, District of Columbia Dental Society. He has also served on the Committee for Continuing Education. Dr. Barsky is a member of: The D.C. Dental Society, The American Dental Association, The Maryland Dental Society, The Swedish, Norwegian, German and Italian Societies for Oral Implantology, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the International Dental Health Foundation, Federation Dentaire International and The American Society of Osseointegration.

Dr. Barsky attends numerous continuing education programs throughout the year and is a member of several dental study clubs.

Dr. Barsky has been a guest on numerous radio shows and he lectures on a wide range of dental topics.

Golf, tennis and skiing are his favorite hobbies.

Sandra Detro

Sandra has worked as an office manager and dental receptionist for fifteen years. Having worked in Washington and in San Diego she has a wide range of experience handling your insurance needs. Sandra will be able to arrange your appointment when it best fits your busy schedule.
 
Grace Farmer

Grace is a licensed dental assistant you will always find working side by side with Dr. Barsky. Gentle and caring, Grace adds comfort and efficiency to our treatment. You will notice how the years of working together have formed a smooth team approach to your dental care. Grace has been with our practice 15 years and has two children.
   
Victoria Smith R.Dh.

Vicky has been a dental hygienist for the past twelve years and has been with our practice for the last six years. Much of the last few years with us Vicky has been treating periodontal disease cases from mild gingivitis to severe periodontitis. Her friendly demeanor and gentle caring personality makes Vicky a great employee and
wonderful Dental Hygiene Therapist. Vicky has three children, is a vegetarian and loves to cook and sew.
   
Rosa Betemariam

Rosa is a certified Dental Assistant and the newest member of our staff. She is calm and reassuring making the patients feel very comfortable. Rosa has two children.
